 Who we are.
The Vacceos are one of thirteen tribes participants in the recreation that of the Wars of the Cantabrian people against the Roman invader, representing in turn for other thirteen legions, is celebrated from the year 2001 in the Cantabrian locality of Los Corrales de Buelna, coinciding with the last weekend of August and the First of September.
Our zones of accession, they extend about of the Plateau North, to both shores of the river Douro. And they occupy completely what today they are the provinces of Valladolid and León's great part, Palencia, Segovia, Burgos, Avila, Salamanca and Zamora.

We dress in black cap and certainly, leather. And in what concerns the weapon, we use a curious art, by which there are buried all the pieces (shields, hulls, swords ...) until they oxidize.

At present, our group is formed for near eighty persons, of which approximately twenty are children. Inside the organizational aspect, we take charge of the celebration of the Cantabrian wedding together with the tribe of the Settlers of the Vindio, and the concert of Celtic music and folk. Declared party of tourist national interest, has grown spectacularly, so much in participants, as in public's assistance.

The most important characters of the tribe are Pallantuo, our leader, courageous and relentless with the enemy, to be represented since 2002 by Txisko Sáiz Villegas, and "Lin, the wise" visible head of the council of tribal elders, which advises our leader both in battle and in everyday life, paper from the tenth edition of the recreation is headed by Angel Díaz Nuñez.
